Just to expand on my last entry: I swap out my summer clothes and my winter clothes during the seasons because I don’t really need t-shirts and shorts in the winter or sweaters and jackets in the summer. Sometimes I even forget what’s in my closet. Seeing that I haven’t worn something in a long time helps me get rid of it more easily (for those of you who are pack rats, this might help). As for axphin’s idea (jeff) it would be useful to have a notes section to put any miscellaneous info like: “in the laundry”, “at the cleaner’s”, “borrowed by brother”. Thanks!
Aside from just inputting the clothing information mentioned in “My Idea”, one could also input the brand and size. I know that many stores differ in what they call medium depending on brand. If you can put all the sizes and brands in one library, then you don’t have to take a look at your pants and figure out what size you had purchased before by looking in your closet.
Another advantage of inputting the brand would be to make the brand a link to maybe store locations or websites so that you can see the latest fashions or just shop online.
Of course, ideally, if all companies could give out sizing recommendations based on measurements, you could input measurements and have each store automatically give you your size for their store. But they probably would not.
For example for a pair of pants:
Style Category - Professional
Color - Black
Kind - Capris
Rating
Last worn: 9/8/06
Rating 4 stars
Brand: Express
Price: $40
Size: Small
Some other options are to be able to put pricing for those who would like to budget how much they spend on clothing or really be able to see how much all their clothes added together are worth. However, maybe you DON’T want to know…
