7000 voters submitted their picks this round, and while Cookbook, Hijack and Portal emerged with an early lead, the other contestants found themselves splitting the votes nearly evenly… and with three eliminations looming, the competition became fierce. Diggs were flying, new mockups popped up, and there’s even been some heated debate on contest etiquette.
All in all, this was without a doubt the most exciting round so far, with finalists constantly jumping in and out of danger and quite a few upsets. But it had to end eventually. Congrats to Bogumil (Herald), Anders (Stick-It) and John (Minerva) for making it this far. Your ideas were among the best out of over 2700 (in fact, according to voters, in the 99.5 percentile), and it’s sad seeing them eliminated… but I’m sure I speak for many when I say I’m glad we had the privilege to see them and the pleasure of watching them mature through the contest! Expect an email asking for iPod nano color choice soon.
Will Hijack, Cookbook and Portal hold on to their top spots next round? If round 3’s results are any indication of what’s to come, those top three spots are still up in the air.
Stay tuned, and thanks to everyone for voting!
